Our Ministries

LoCC serves families and individuals referred to us by concerned friends, area churches and other social service agencies. In order to preserve our resources to serve those in need and avoid "red tape," we keep overhead expenses to a minimum. We are a not-for-profit organization with only one full-time and one part-time employee. Our job is to meet the needs of people who are in crisis through - - -

* Direct Emergency Aid for families and persons referred to us by a local church or social service agency.

* Layettes; essentials for needy new mothers, because every baby deserves a beautiful welcome!

* Christmas Giving. We annually provide food and gifts for about 250 needy people.

* School Supplies and Uniforms and supplies for the children of low-income families.

* Interview & work clothing for those moving out of homelessness or recently released from prison.

* Household furnishings for burned-out families and others in crisis.

* Thrift Store. A low-cost shopping alternative for those with modest incomes and a source of items we use to assist those in need, our Greater Good Thrift Store is stocked with donated clothing, furniture, toys, linens, books, household goods and other items. We sell to the public at low prices and use the proceeds to fund our social welfare assistance programs.
